What is wrong with my pinhole camera?
My brother made a pinhole camera for his science project. the camera doesn’t work. I don’t know if the hole is too small or too big. I thought the pin hole was too small so I made it bigger but it still isn’t working.
When I develop the paper from the pinhole camera it’s still white. Does that mean it’s been exposed to too much light, or no light at all.
Should I make the hole bigger or smaller. It seems king of weird that I wouldn’t even get a black dot on the paper if light is seeping through the hole.
Please help.
The resultant white means that not enough light is getting to the paper.
It’s not that the hole is too small. In fact, smaller is better. It is probably that you did not get a long enough exposure. You didn’t say how long you timed the shot. Exposure times for a pinhole camera could run as long as five minutes or even twice as long for an indoor shot.
