Telescope Collimation?
Is there a simple way I can tell if my Newtonian reflector is already collimated? I will eventually buy the tool, but for now how would I know?
You can do a star test. Point your scope at Polaris, or any other medium bright star. Slightly defocus the image. Are the rings concentric or lopsided to one side.
