how do i set the canon kit lens(18-55) or the 50mm lens to infinity focus?
Most camera lenses have an infinity mark on them. Just align it with the focus index mark.
For modern AF lenses which do not have such markings, just aim the camera out toward the horizon and press the shutter release part way down. That will put the lens at its infinity focus point.
